About Me – Founder perspective

I kept asking myself what I do with all the things I create?  How many more could I give to friends?  How could I sell my work in a way that didn’t require me to pack, unpack, and haul them around?

I realized I was living in a thriving artistic community and surely others felt the same.  The thought process became – what could be done to benefit all levels of makers – with emphasis toward the smaller independent makers like me who didn’t have their own websites?

Thus, the idea for the SMA Artisans Alliance website was born.  What you see now is the result of the efforts of a person with a basic idea and the collaboration of two professional website designers.  The goal from day one was to develop a platform for all levels of local creators.  When you explore the website, I believe you will agree that it has been accomplished in fine style.
