I began making wreaths 25 years ago with wire and holiday ribbon I cut into pieces. I then graduated to pinecone wreathes because I lived in an area where pinecones were plentiful and easy to pick up. I also started to pick up other nuts, berries, and natural botanical items such as dried flower pods/seeds. The next step was to buy what I couldn’t always find, so I bought seasonal nuts, such as pecans, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, and chestnuts. I then experimented with how to arrange all these items in an attractive manner on a styrofoam wreath form using a glue gun. Now living in Mexico, I find different botanicals to incorporate into the wreathes by walking through parks and other areas where nature plays a role in what is around me. Wherever I travel, I always make it a point to find time to take a walk to collect new treasures. I hope you will enjoy one of my creations for years to come.
This smaller-sized wreath brings the rustic beauty of the outdoors inside with this hand-selected collection of all-natural botanicals. The elements offer a wide variety of textures and natural tones, making them the perfect artisanal touch for creating an effortless centerpiece with a candle inside. Or, of course, may be hung with a seasonal ribbon.
